I'm a Cape-Town based filmmaker and photographer, with over twelve years experience as a free-lancer. My endless curiosity drives my motivation of capturing the essence of the many incredible humans we have in this world, whether it be through portraiture, or documentary films. No matter what the subject matter, I combine thoughtful visuals with a carefully paced editing technique, accentuating the turning points within the narrative structure for maximum emotional connection. My favorite field is documentary and brand documentaries, and since graduating from film school with the Best Cinematography award in 2013, I've worked internationally and abroad for many high-end clients. There were rumors of criminal activity happening every Sunday afternoon in the nearby Soetwater parking lot. It was said that the participants were gangsters from the neighboring suburb of Ocean View, one of the most gang-ridden areas of the Western Cape, South Africa. "Spinderella" tells the story of what is really happening on the other side of the hill.
A short film documenting the daily ritual of the "Sunrise Swimmers", a group of pensioners who, in a age-defying act, spend the first light of every morning in the ocean - come shark, rain or shine.
