David is an Austin based filmmaker with a passion for cinematography and documentary film. David was cinematographer on several documentary features for PBS, including Better This World, Richard Linklater: dream is destiny, By the River of Babylon, What Was Ours, and Through the Repellent Fence: A Land Art Film. He has photographed numerous political ads, including an award-winning national spot for the Democratic National Committee and several ads for Presidential candidate Barack Obama. He was the Director of Photography for all six season of the documentary series, Small Business Revolution, on Hulu and Amazon Prime. He has directed two feature-length documentaries — The Hot Shoe and The Newspaperman, currently in post-production.
