Ozzie Hoppe is a bilingual (English & Spanish) photographer / videographer based in Costa Rica and NYC. Ozzie was raised on a healthy diet of surfing and hitchhiking during a childhood that was spent between Costa Rica, New York, Hawaii, California and Texas; all serving as a starting point to traveling throughout the world. Ozzie has since lived in every continent except Antarctica. He recently completed a profile on the up and coming hip hop scene in Medellín, Colombia. Ozzie focuses on portraiture and lifestyle photography as well as documentary projects.

Ozzie was very communicative throughout the entire span of the project. He delivered his images quickly, even despite some internet connectivity issues. He also knows the Costa Rica and Panama regions well which is helpful for a remote shoot. I will certainly hire him again if I have work in this area of the world in the future.

India’s first transgender sports event takes place on 28 April in Kerala, south India. It's the first time between 100-200 Indian transgender community will compete in events like sprints, relay, shot put and long jump. The Kerala government has organised this event as a part of a transgender policy to prevent discrimination against the transgender community and assimilate them in Indian society.

A photo and caption story on the life of truck drivers for Dubai's Gulf News magazine. This is an excerpt from a long term project documenting the daily lives of truck drivers whom work on the road twenty six days of the month. It is a photo documentation of their daily habits, personal issues, their health, the economy the co exist with and the community they inhabit within the highway society.
With surfing as a new arrival, India has become a frontier for surfers in search of empty waves. This is a story about this journey, the coastline, the growing number of locals whom are spreading surfing's popularity in India and the monsoon weather systems that are the center of orbit for both surfers and the large farming community in India. A six part series published (Print & Online) in Outlook magazine photographing the lives of truck drivers across India. Working with Indian journalist Rajat Ubhaykar we hitchhiked and lived with various groups of truck drivers over a three month period. While documenting their lives we focused on the roadside economy of India and the state of business affairs for the trucking industry.
