A documentary film producer and director who actively produces audio visual contents that primarily focus on the social, political, cultural, and environmental issues. Over the years, I have worked on several documentary films which were made in the interest of social movements with Watchdoc, which include Asymmetric (2018), as well as the most recent ones KPK the End Game (2021) and Kinipan (2021). Asymmetric
After traveling 14,000 kilometers on motorbike, videographer Dandhy Laksono and Suparta Arz arrived in Borneo, which was at the peak of the smoke haze tragedy. Both are finding out and recorded what is really the cause of the environmental disaster that affects 69 million people. One highlight is the palm oil plantation industry which covers an area now reaching 11 million hectares or almost equal to the area of Java. In addition to Borneo (Kalimantan), the story raised also includes Sumatra to Papua is facing the entry of the world commodity plantation. ASIMETRIS (Asymmetric) not only takes a closer look at how the impacts of the largest foreign exchange-producing plantation industry on society and the environment, it also presents how the industry's influence in government, security forces, to the media. Even against ourselves from the bathroom, kitchen, to the vehicle. The film also looks at how the support of global financial institutions and those who really benefit the most, in addition to the 16 million Indonesians who contribute their lives to the industry. Because the scale of the issues discussed is broad enough and avoiding “black and white” perspective, the Ekspedisi Indonesia Biru team is assisted by 11 videographers from various regions to collect pieces of story on the field that occur between 2015-2018 to keep it actual. ASYMMETRIC is the ninth film of the expedition's journey after "Samin vs Semen", "Kala Benoa", “The Mahuzes" and five other films also supported by Watchdoc. A number of environmental organizations and individuals also supported, along the way of the expedition, until the completion of the production of this film.

Canadian recycling companies caught shipping illegal trash overseas - The Fifth Estate
Our Fifth Estate/Enquête investigation has found Canadian recycling companies are breaking the law by shipping illegal, unsorted household trash — hidden among approved recycling exports — to developing countries. But the federal government is keeping the list of names of those caught violating environmental and international laws secret from the public. In the last five years, at least 123 shipping containers have been returned to Canada for carrying unrecyclable trash.
