A journalist and editor based in Paris, I'm a contributing editor to Publishing Perspectives, and write for various newspapers and magazines including the International New York Times and CNN. I was books editor for Harper’s Bazaar Art until 2013. A former commissioning editor at Saqi Books I was also executive editor of Alef, a London-based culture, lifestyle and fashion magazine about the Middle East. I've reported for Beirut’s Daily Star from London and Paris since 2001. I was editor-in-chief of World Media in Paris, where I put together a magazine published by a group of twenty-six newspapers worldwide, and was a staff member at both Vanity Fair and CBC/Radio Canada in New York. Random House published my translation of Lamia Ziadé’s Bye Bye Babylon in 2011, I've written several books on Paris published by Dorling Kindersley and Flammarion. Editions Textuel (France) and Saqi Books (London) published Keep Your Eye on the Wall: : Palestinian Landscapes, which I co-edited, in 2013.
