Bahar Shoghi is a video journalist for French News Agency based in Tehran. She is the first female video journalist working for a foreign media in Iran.A French language and literature graduate, she continued her eduction in the field of Television production in Birmingham school of media in united kingdom. Her debut short film, A monologue for freedom, was officially selected and screened in Dresden International short film festival. Her passion for thought provoking documentaries and sensitivity towards social issues lead her to co-found and direct an interactive documentary, I am undocumented, covering the lives of Iranian and Afghan children without legal identification documents living in marginalized neighborhood in Tehran. Living in a country that is the at the center of worldwide attention, she covers news and features for AFP. When she is not behind the camera, or final cut or in AFP office, she is researching, thinking, imagining and planning for the next documentary.
