Lefteris Partsalis was born in Athens in 1987, where he spent the first 18 years of his life. In 2004, he bought his first camera and pursued photography as a hobby; more than 10 years later he is an established photographer who has covered major stories including the Greek financial crisis, the refugee crisis, civil unrests, Mosul offensive and more. Partsalis studied landscape architecture but even during his studies he was working as a photographer on environmental projects. In 2012 Sept he moves to Edinburgh for 9 months. Upon his return to Greece, he spent three months working for the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Defense in which he worked as a photographer for almost two years. Since 2015, Partalis works as a freelancer for various media including SOOC Photo Agency, Spin Communications and DPG Media, which includes CNN Greece. In 2015 he took the picture of three grandmothers in Lesvos feeding a baby migrant and one of them nominated for Nobel prize. He, also, collaborates with the Chinese news agency Xinhua, and his pictures have been published in Greek and foreign print and digital media.
On this project i was the fixer and the photographer of a journalist (Fabrice Boule) from Caritas NGO. We covered stories from camps in Athens and also i make some stories by my self in Lesvos. On that link, you can see one of these pictures at the cover of the annual report of Organization.

We covered feature story for Cnn.gr about the offer of Greek Red Cross in floods of Mandra, a region of Attika, Greece. About 21 people died.
In this collaboration, i did a story about the 'Ghost City' of Qaraqosh. A Christian city near to Mosul destructed from Daesh. I found stories from two civilians a father and his son and also covered the situation of the churches and the city. I described all this story with words and pictures.
