I am professor of politics at the University of Salford where I have been employed since 1991. My main areas of research interest are Italian politics, political parties and voting behaviour. I recently finished writing a book entitled, Silvio Berlusconi: A Study in Failure, which will be piublished this year by Manchester University Press.
