Sam Baumel is Principal and Founder of Wood Metal Rocks, a production company based in New York City. Sam works with brands, local businesses and nonprofits to find an authentic voice and translate their story for the screen. He takes pride in cultivating longstanding collaborative relationships with specialists across the media and creative technology spectrum. Sam has been producing video for a decade and is particularly dedicated to the development of virtual reality as a medium for artistic expression. His work has been showcased at festivals, galleries and in publications around the globe. Sam studied business and film production at NYU and University of London. He volunteers teaching photography with the Slideluck Youth Initiative and attends the Video Consortium Book Club. For leisure, Sam enjoys walking, bicycling and kayaking to the City’s most sacred spots.
