    Nigerians are protesting simultaneously in 20 states across the country over a bill seeking to regulate the use of social media The bill which passed second reading on the floor of the Nigerian senate last week, calls for fines for spreading what the government deems falsehoods or hate speech online, and in some cases, jail time.
