“A story will help us make sense of anything” - Philip Pullman* Be it religion, philosophy, technology, or brand values, stories enable us to understand concepts in a way that stays with us. The key is not just knowing your message, but really knowing your audience. I’m an experienced short form Producer/Director working in Copenhagen, London and around the world. I work on projects from creative to delivery, and have covered several roles in the process. Over the last few years I’ve worked for BBC, Great Big Story, CNN Commercial, LEGO, MarlowFilm, and The Film Agency to produce beautiful films that really engage the audience. Having worked, hands on, at all stages of the production process, I am well used to dealing with agencies and production companies, as well as working for them. Through this experience I am also used to managing clients, industry service providers, and specialist freelancers, both at domestically and internationally. In all the work I do I deliver what’s desired, but push the boundaries wherever possible to ensure the tone and message established in the creative, or client vision is amplified. An editorial micro-doc for MONOCLE magazine exploring the enchanting world of summerhouses and allotments hidden around Copenhagen
One of two films made for Argentina Tourism through CNN's commercial agency, Create. With a production manager in London and a fixer in Argentina, the DOP and I shot two films in 3 cities in 5 days. As well as footage for two films, I took hundreds of stills and recorded ambient sound for web UX. We took BTS photos and filmed PTC's for social media from the travel writer who accompanied us for the entire journey. We worked hard, but had an amazing trip and saw some incredible places. The whole project was brought in on time and under budget.
One of three films made for a progessively-minded gold mining company. This film examined their approach to supporting and including the community to the mine site.
Produced for Great Big Story
A branded content film for BASF, looking at flower farming in Vietnam. Through one farmer's story we understand the impact a product's development can have in human terms. The task was to humanise an abstract concept. In this case, the effect more resilient plastic sheeting has on livelihood.
