Sebastian Mlynarski is an award-winning director, executive producer, and cinematographer. His most recent feature documentary Holy Heist, which he directed and executive produced aired on Discovery+ in March of 2022. Holy Heist tells the story of one of the largest and most scandalous robberies in American history that involved a Catholic priest, a police officer, a boxer, and an IRA rebel. Along with Vice Studios, Mlynarski is currently developing a limited documentary series about the Russian effort at destabilizing Western financial markets. His conceptual film, The Waves, screened at the New Museum in New York and the art film he directed alongside artist Bjarne Melgaard, premiered at the Venice Biennale in 2011. Sebastian boasts nominations and awards at both the Tribeca Film Festival and the Ottawa International Film Festival. Outside of feature films and documentaries, Sebastian has had a very successful portrait and music video career. His music video for the band Miike Snow was honored with an MTV Video Music Award nomination. His portrait work can be found in prestigious magazines around the world, as well as in the popular biography on Iggy Pop called: Open Up and Bleed.
