Creative Director / Camera / Writer with 19 years' experience in UK, US and SE Asia broadcast. Credits for BBC, Nat Geo, Discovery, ITV, PBS and lots more. I have filmed in deserts, jungles, mountains, forests, and on ice. From planes, helicopters, submarines and cranes. A lot of my work has been with military (Air Force, Navy, Army) police and Coast Guards, so I am comfortable with sharp objects, fast vehicles and unfriendly dogs in war-zones. I follow and tell great human stories, devise original TV formats, and bring high production values and documentary sensibilities to branded content and broadcast. I have my own 4K camera equipment and a great pool of talented fellow freelancers. This means I can offer the full suite of production services, from 30-second spots to feature-length docs. I have certification in BBC Health&Safety; Hostile Environments; Editorial Policy; am PADI dive certified and speak several languages fluently (French, Spanish and Norwegian). Resident in Wiltshire, SW England, with a base in London.
5 'seasons' of 3 x 6 /10/15 videos for YouTube, featuring well-known YouTubers swapping cities, and undertaking challenges, with the aid of the client's products. I wrote the format and the scripts, filmed and directed 1 of the 5 seasons, directed all the edits.

I re-filmed one third of this episode in the "Underworld, Inc" documentary series, after the original Producer/Director wound up in an Indonesian jail for 8 months. I was tasked to produce and direct similar stories in Malaysia; raiding 'ghost ships' with the Coast Guard, interviewing disguised pirates, filming fishermen with livelihoods destroyed by the illegal oil trade.

One-hour documentary. The Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team have to train every year to qualify to display. It takes 7 months intensive training, followed by 5 months of intensive displays at air shows around the world. This is the story of the team making up the 2008 'Diamond 9'. I produced, directed a crew (10 days) filmed extra footage (20 days), wrote the script, and directed the edit.
7 x 30 travel / heritage shows, filmed around Asia. I filmed, produced and directed 3 episodes - in Penang and Melaka.
1-hour doc, episode 4 of 4. Jim Doherty is a very likeable lad, but a terrible businessman. I spent 18 months filming him on his pig farm as he lurched from one disaster to the next. Having filmed across the entire series, I produced and directed the final episode. Includes some high-end filming by the Natural History Unit, and some lovely time-lapse shots at the end.
1-hour military doc. As Associate Producer to noted director Olly Lambert, I hunted for stories, recorded sound, and cadged helicopter rides. We spent a month in theatre during Op Telic (Enduring Freedom), embedded with a British Army Hospital (MASH) unit. 2-man team, covering surgeries, daily life, and undercover incursions into Iraq - to drop off busloads of civilian patients.
