Maya is a producer based out of Mumbai and Los Angeles. She most recently worked on “The Price of Free” - an Emmy-nominated film based on the life of Nobel Peace Prize winner Kailash Satyarthi and his fight to end child slavery. The film won the Sundance Film Festival Grand Jury Prize in 2018. Maya has been associated with the development and production of award-winning films and campaigns including Netflix’s “Bikram”, Showtime’s “The Kingmaker” and Nike’s “Da Da Ding”. She has worked with Academy-Award winning directors such as Davis Guggenheim, Smriti Mundhra, Lauren Greenfield, and Eva Orner. Maya is currently working with Impact (Ed) as the Creative Producer for “My Better World” an animated educational series for young people across India. She is also producing a screening series and social action campaign titled "Art to Action” with award-winning producer Sarah Anthony.

The Da Da Ding music video showcases the unrelenting spirit of women in India, aiming to trigger a movement by changing the way sport is thought about in this country. The campaign features the ultimate girl sport squad–from national hockey player Rani Rampal and surfer Ishita Malaviya, to Indian film actress Deepika Padukone, and a huge supporting cast of everyday women performing a diverse range of sport. Nike and Wieden+Kennedy wanted to depict the incredible power of sport, and start a larger conversation that emboldens women to get out there and play more. Put simply, it shows sport as both fun and empowering. In its first 24 hours, the video earned a massive response, with media coverage including Time and Buzzfeed (who called it FIERCE. AS.
