Seun Adeniyi is a freelance documentary photographer from Nigeria who focuses on social impact storytelling. He is dedicated to capturing stories that emphasize the importance of culture and humanitarian services, as well as stories with transformative narratives of daily lives. With a background in sociolinguistics, Seun's images vividly chronicle and explore people's social, political, and cultural values from various historical and socioeconomic perspectives. This further highlights his work, spotlighting societal issues and their profound impact on our daily existence and broader society. For him, photography is more than a passion; it's a transforming ability that defines his narratives, allowing him to tell stories in captivating and unique ways. Seun has earned certifications through acclaimed workshops, including Thomson Foundation's 'Journalism Now,' AFP Digital Courses, Canon Miraisha, VII Academy ('Stories of the World Through Your Lens'), and Storymi Academy's 'Naija in Light Photojournalism Workshop.' He has experience working with several organizations, including Agence France-Presse (AFP), Greenville LNG, and MICL. He is a member of both the African Photojournalism Database (APJD) and the Kuta Art Foundation. Seun is a dedicated documentarian of African and Nigerian traditions. His work has been featured on various platforms, including Getty Images, Pixels, Everyday Everywhere, the LagosPhotoFestival, and KAFART.
