As FSN's Tokyo bureau chief, I covered breaking and daily news from Japan. From pitching, shooting & editing feature stories to reporting live on location, I have reported for 25+ TV and radio stations worldwide.
Yuma was performing with the Georgian National Ballet when he decided to return to Japan to learn programming with the dream of launching his own business. He joined Tokyo-based Code Chrysalis which runs an immersive bootcamp to create Japan's next generation of software engineers. I was tasked with telling Yuma's story. I directed, produced, filmed and edited this video.
For generations, families across Japan have hunted, raised and eaten wasps. But will this age-old delicacy soon vanish? I travelled into the Japanese countryside to a village to discover why they eat hunt, raise and eat wasps...and just what this tradition means for local identity. I conducted all research, interviews, writing and photography.

From April 2016 - September 2018, I was a Markets Reporter for NHK World Newsline, reporting live from the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
A documentary series that introduces Japanese cuisine through the life story of the protagonists. Sisters 69-year-old Akemi and 67-year-old Satsuki have embraced "shojin ryori", a kind of vegetarian cuisine practiced by Buddhist priests. What might seem a strict diet has evolved into a project of passion. I worked as director, script advisor and assistant producer.
