I am a writer/ director born in Lesotho. After completing a degree in Film and Media Production I was involved as writer in a few productions, first assistant director, researcher and script supervisor in an international feature titled 'The Forgotten Kingdom'. For three years I was also a junior lecturer in the Film and Television department at Limkokwing University of Creative Technology in Maseru. I was also facilitator in a video journalism workshop at Kick-4-Life in Maseru for a period of about six months. I am currently in the research/ writing phase for a feature documentary: 'The Night 'Tsotsi' died'. My interests are in creative writing, journalsim, short film dramas and documentary films. I have completed a short documentary titled 'Reading Lesotho' for the African Library Project. I'm in post-production for a short documentary telling the story of a South Korean volunteer in a rural village in Lesotho. Currently I am a writing fellow at School of Art Institute Chicago, continuing work in freelance video journalism and documentary filmmaking.
In order to forge an identity for himself, Simeon Blase immerses himself into the world of African traditional healers. After years growing up in Europe, he has returned to Africa to locate his ancestry.

I was asked by the editor of this leading newspaper in Lesotho to write an analysis of the then reigning situation of the first coalition government of Lesotho.
I shot a 25 minute documentary about library in rural schools of Lesotho. The work was commissioned for the African Library Project.
I worked as script supervisor, loader and translator for this feature.
