About
Journo grad from Journalism and Media Studies Centre at the University of Hong Kong (2016). Alum of UCL’s School of Slavonic and East European studies in Politics (2014). I also produce films, both narrative and documentary. I've directed a short doc on a refugee woman's search for meaning in life in Hong Kong; produced a news package about refugees' children in Hong Kong; produced another short doc on organic farming in Hong Kong and several short videos for Ruptly on Trump and Hong Kong democracy protests. In regards to my narrative works, I directed a coming of age short film in 2020 based on a script I wrote. For the past 2 years, I've helped friends and others in the film community in Hong Kong and Malaysia produce their works as a producer, art director, sound recordist and assistant cameraman.

I shot and produced this short video for Ruptly when the world was starting to pay attention to Trump and his administration's policies. This comedic pair in Hong Kong decided to make a satire out of the situation.

In Hong Kong, many refugees have lodged their applications and waited for years before they can receive their legal status. For many of them, life is tough with little money to sustain their lives since they aren’t allowed to work legally. This is a story about a Sri Lankan woman’s journey in finding meaning in her life, after she had lost everything, through running.

My team and I produced this short doc and won the Gold Award at the Baptist University Organic Farming Documentary Competition in 2016. Organic farming is not something new in Hong Kong. It is a way of life that has always existed. But since the 60s, many farmers left behind this life in search of better standard of living by moving to the city to work, abandoning many farming villages. However, there is a revival of these villages in recent years, in order to bring awareness to organic farming and ultimately, the organic way of life.
