Hey! I am a freelance journalist from Germany now living in the Great Lakes region of Africa, more precisely in Gisenyi/Rwanda at the border to the DR Congo. I moved here in 2016. Since 2005 I have been working for several public broadcasting TV stations in Germany and produced reports, portraits, documentaries from 5 min to 30 min. I love my job! It's that simple. It's my passion to find inspiring stories, develop a film idea, write the story board, get it on camera and finalize it in a captivating edit work. Why? That's also simple. Documentary for NGO Solidarités International
In June 2017 I produced a short documentary film for the NGO Solidarités International about the humanitarian aid brought to a place called Opienge, in the northeast of Congo. A place completely cut off of the rest of the world but with thousands of displaced people who had to flee conflict and fighting. The film shows how difficult it is to reach people in forgotten places like Opienge.

I am a journalist. My husband a humanitarian aid worker for emergency missions. And we have three small children. What does life look like when the phone rings and Daddy is asked to fly away again to help the world? In 2015 a camera followed our family during the intense days when he left to help after the Nepal earthquake.
