I am a New Orleans native-based photographer; but I also work out of Houston, New York, and DC. I am obsessed with portraits. It is all about the process of creating the portrait, and the story behind the portrait. The process of creating the portrait is a mark of true craftsmanship. I try to capture portraits that are honest. I often use black and white photographs to achieve that. I believe black and white photographs allow me to see; to truly see. When color is absent it is all about the architecture of the photograph; the light, the emotion, the tonality, the lines, and the shapes. It allows me to see deeper. If you prefer your photographs to be in color, that’s fine too. My priority is my client. In order to deliver the best possible product to my client, I get to know who they are, what their needs are, and what their vision is.

As teenager Corey Ruth weighed getting the COVID-19 vaccine, rumors of computer chips and the legacy of the Tuskegee experiments were on his mind. Even though his mom, a nurse in New Orleans, had already received her shot, he still wasn’t sure about it. Ruth started to come around to the idea as he watched more of his high school football teammates get the vaccine.

For high school students, NOTEP partners with the Louisiana Department of Education to offer students academic credit, in addition to earning industry approved credentials. For students that complete the program, NOTEP has a robust Next-Steps initiative to helps interested students obtain work in the industry or apply to post-secondary institutions to further their education.

A Final Four tournament took place in New Orleans recently, and no, I’m not talking about the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament. While March Madness was happening, four creators with large followings on YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram battled for $50,000 in the finals of the House of Highlights Creator League 1 vs 1 basketball tournament. The Creator League is presented by House of Highlights, a subsidiary of Bleacher Report.
