I completed my BA in METU Industrial Design and MS in METU Media and Cultural Studies and started PhD in Bilkent Graphic Design. During my MA, I started to engage with video and documentaries. I went to Canada with a grant by Sauvé Foundation and worked as a research assistant at University McGill in 2004-2005. I worked as a montage director in İz TV (the first documentary channel in Turkey) and as the Middle East correspondent of American Independent Radio FSRN. I co-founded the first video-activist collective of Turkey -karahaber- with a couple of friends during my BA studies. I continue making videos and documentaries independently. I am a professional editor and DOP.

on october 20th, 2000, 284 prisoners started death-fast and 1249 prisoners started hunger-strike 48 prisons in turkey. prisoners have demanded abrogation of ‘law of contend’ and stopping of builfing of f-type (isolation) prisons. on december 19th, 2000, an operation named ‘back to life’ was realized simultaneoulsy in 20 0f 48 prisons. as a result of the operation, 32 people died.
