Snipes USA x Aunts et Uncles - Juneteenth
I was hired by Snipes Head of Social and Digital Strategy to produce and facilitate a multi-channel campaign for Juneteenth 2021. The brand wanted to highlight black owned businesses making cultural impact in their local communities. The core markets were New York and Philadelphia. I oversaw the New York section of the campaign. As a current Flatbush native, I pitched a local black-owned vegan restaurant, Aunts et Uncles, to be the New York business for this feature. We partnered with Aunts et Uncles to create social content, an in-store activation as well as custom merch created by Aunts et Uncles for Snipes to be sold in the Snipes Barclay Center location throughout the summer. All proceeds from the merch sales were donated back to the businesses in the surrounding community. I worked with a small New York-based video crew to film the social content.
