About

I’m a Venezuelan citizen with permanent residence in the United States. I have a degree in Communication Studies and my work experience has been between editing and producing Spanish content for different media platforms and editorial coordination. I have worked for television channels, cultural institutions, non-profit citizen organizations and digital media. With coverage of different topics like technology, health, immigration, environment, culture, communities, competitiveness and show biz. Always linked with Spanish content editing. Recently, I have been working for Univision as a multimarket digital journalist (freelance), in projects such as the search engine for Puerto Rico, data research for "Life in the eye of the hurricane", 10 scripts and 24 text-cards for the social media campaign of the book: "Immigration: The new rules" and the production of articles about technology for "Privacy not included" campaign, in partnership with Mozilla Foundation. I am currently writing and editing Spanish content for local audiences. I'm not fully bilingual, but I'm getting ready to be. I'm proficient in Spanish, intermediate in English and advance in Portuguese. Each work experience has been unique. In editorial experiences, I was on the coordination team of the “Atlas Práctico de Venezuela”, a collectible issues published by the newspaper “El Nacional”, which was recognized by the “Monseñor Pellín” prize as "Editorial Effort of the Year". For 4 years I worked as a consultant and researcher of successful institutions. Likewise, I participated in the production of 42 scripts and in the field production of 39 documentary videos, with which I learned that the success in the television’s narrative is in the approach that is given to the stories. Similarly, the work at E! Entertainment Television writing promotional contents for the Latin American audience (from Mexico to Argentina), taught me the importance to take advantage of all the potential of the Spanish language. I like to learn and try new job challenges. I'm enjoying the best moment of digital journalism. Enjoying and learning. And that is exactly what I want to continue doing.
