Winner of a Student Academy Award and six Emmys, I am a Spanish director, producer, and director of photography based in New York. As a TV producer, I received six Emmy® Awards for my work at the cultural magazine Nueva York (CUNY TV), about Latinos in New York. I am also the co-producer and director of the video content of the transmedia documentary project “Sonic Trace”, produced by Anayansi Diaz-Cortes with support of ITVS, NEA, Cal Humanities, KCRW, AIR, and PBS. As part of this project, I recently finished the documentary "Still Dreaming", which will premiere on PBS. As a director of photography, I have shot several documentary projects, including "Of Kites and Borders" (Dir. Yolanda Pividal, Winner of Best Documentary at the San Diego Film Festival, 2013), “Sloan at 75” (Dir. Lisa Beth Kovetz, 2011, winner of a Communicator Award). With and interest on social issues, I have worked for non-profit organizations in the U.S. and abroad.

We head to Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, to cover the work of the Salesians, a religious group which supports Central American and Mexican migrants through different training programs for all the difficulties that migrants face when they try to cross the Mexico/USA border. Short documentary piece about TuCasa music studio, a center in the Lower East Side (New York), which has served the music community of this city for over 30 years and where numerous iconic figures like Héctor Lavoe and Eddie Palmieri have worked. Carlos "Chino" García, its founder, will tells us about the key role the studio has played in the history and evolution of this neighborhood.
