Linda is a Canadian-South African multimedia journalist based in Johannesburg. She has worked in Canada and around the globe producing video and print stories. Her work has appeared in NBCNews.com, the New York Times, the Globe and Mail (Canada), News24 Live (South Africa) and Nation Media Group publications (East Africa). Linda earned her master's degree in journalism from the University of British Columbia. She was granted a research award from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research to investigate aging and dementia for a multimedia project. Linda was also a fellow of the UBC International Reporting Program and contributed to a yearlong investigation on global mental health and human rights abuse.

Specialized programs for people living with early-onset dementia are almost non-existent. Most dementia services cater to people in their 80s or 90s who are retired and often have multiple health conditions. But people with early-onset are physically fit, have mortgages to pay and young children to care for. One Vancouver organization has created a community to support this neglected group.
