I worked at the advertising agency Publicis Group and now I work as a freelancer. I blend concepts and storytelling to evoke emotions, with a focus on tv or digital ads, web series, branded content and corporate videos. I try to elevate the essence of brands, companies and captivate global audiences. I have collaborated with companies such as BBVA, Coca Cola, Avon, Movistar, Kimberly-Clark, Arup, among others. Parallel to advertising, I have written and directed short films, television series, and a feature film.

JUAN LEON: Committed to the long run
Hairlessdog Films asked me to create a campaign for Arup, a company that provides professional engineering and design services, among others. The goal was to showcase their work through two branded content pieces about Peruvian athletes and a corporate video, during the Lima 2019 Pan American and Parapan American Games. This video is one of the branded contents. The challenge was to gain the athlete's trust so that he would open the doors to his personal story for us. The campaign won an award at the 2020 Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards.

ARUP - Committed To The Long Run: Our Story
Hairlessdog Films asked me to create a campaign for Arup, a company that provides professional engineering and design services, among others. The challenge was to interview many professionals from various disciplines involved in the project and research about the company in order to finally translate all the information into a script, under a solid concept linked to the sports event. The campaign won an award at the 2020 Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards.

Peru and United Kingdom health care programme
Video with a focus on the hospitals and health centres being delivered by the Government to Government work of the Peru reconstruction with changes programme. The challenge was to interview professionals from the United Kingdom and Peru, including engineers, architects, doctors and health specialists, and communicate the benefits of the collaboration between both countries.

BBVA "Chef todo terreno"
Scripts were developed for a web series for the production house Patria (now called Espíritu), based on a concept and guidelines previously created by an advertising agency. In the Branded Content, renowned chefs are placed in the midst of inhospitable nature and must prepare dishes using the ingredients they find. They have only a luxurious vehicle from a specific brand to accomplish this."

Virgilio Martínez Véliz is a Peruvian chef and restaurateur. He is the founder of Central Restaurant. Central first appeared on The World’s 50 Best Restaurants list in 2013 at number 50. Ten years later, it becomes the first ever South American eatery to earn the title of The World’s Best Restaurant, sponsored by S.Pellegrino & Acqua Panna. This video is about his work.
