About

I am a journalist, videographer and translator. I cover stories about marginalized communities, such as immigrants, members of the LGBTQ community, and ex-combatants who don't usually have a voice in mainstream news coverage. I cover stories relevant to human rights in different countries and communities.I am currently based in Mexico City where I work as an editor for Diálogo Chino, a news site devoted to covering China's influence in Latin America. In 2018 I was awarded the National Journalism Award in Colombia for an investigation I carried out for the project La Mesa de Centro. I am interested in continuing to cover stories that are traditionally under-reported. I have published my work in Ozy the San Francisco Public Press, El Tecolote, VICE news, Pacifista, 070, National Geographic and the Women's Media Center.
