Andrea Soledad Arauz Torres is a Honduras-based filmmaker and executive producer of Aurora Studio. Her past films as a director and producer include: "Living Bodies" (Short documentary), “Awakening,” (short fiction for Spotlight Initiative and UN WOMEN, Honduras), "Birthday Cake" (Short Fiction, Costa Rica / Honduras) ,“Deprived of Liberty,” (short documentary, Honduras) and “The Last 50” (long feature documentary, Barcelona). She has also video edited “Santitos,” which was the winner of the International Short Film Festival El Heraldo in 2016 and Best International Short Film Miami Fest Best Shorts Worldwide in 2018. She is a member and collaborator of the Female Honduran Filmmakers Collective. In 2019, she helped the Female Honduran Filmmakers Collective to produce the second exhibition of films created by women “El Sueño de Alicia” (Alicia’s Dream). On behalf of the Female Honduran Filmmakers Collective, she is the Project Manager of "Transforming Imaginaries Project", funded by the Spotlight Initiative in Honduras, a global partnership between the European Union and the United Nations. With the objective of designing methodology and executing the training space of the "Film School: Learn, Transform and Take Action", for the prevention of gender violence in Honduras, benefiting more than 100 children in the country. She is a member of Brown Girls Doc Mafia and 2021 Logan Nonfiction Fellow. She is also working on her first long feature documentary as director “The Stillness of a Revolution” follows the 1979 Nicaraguan Revolution and the journey between the past and the present to understand Nicaragua’s current crisis.
Recently, Aurora Studio, collaborated in the video editing and 2D animation of the institutional video of the Centro de Educacion Activa for the production company Greit Media.
I worked for the production house MediaTres in the recording, video editing and 2D animation for this institutional video for the Dowal school in Honduras.
In 2016, the production house MediaTres hired me to help record and edit the video of the marathon #MiMetaEs. Organized by the seniors of the American School of Tegucigalpa, for the benefit of the help center Casa David, where services are provided to patients and families of social security (IHSS) in Honduras.
The production house MediaTres hired me to help in video editing and 2D animation of a commercial spot for the real estate company Ecovivienda.
Commercial video to promote the anniversary of OPS Contact Center. We offered the services of recording, video post-production, 2D animation, sound post-production, music and mastering.
