I’m a Houston-based video journalist available to travel in the Southern U.S. I am an experienced all-in-one video journalist, with a strong background in producing, shooting and editing. Most recently, I reported and produced long-form features and special projects for NBC News’ Digital Documentaries team. My work has screened at film festivals across the country, and has been recognized by the Emmy Awards, the National Press Photographers Association, the Society of Professional Journalists, the National Magazine Awards, the Webbys, the GLAAD Media Awards and others. When Frank Warren launched PostSecret in 2004, the project took off. It went viral. Frank published six books. PostSecret went on tour. That was the 2000s, and more than 15 years later the blog is still up and running.

On paper, Southlake was a picture-perfect suburb: beautiful homes and excellent schools. But in 2018, a viral video of students using racial slurs in the mostly white school district created a searing divide in the once close-knit Texas community. What played out in Southlake – and the ensuing fight over proposed diversity plans – foreshadowed others across the country as peaceful neighborhoods descended into bitter arguments over diversity, education and critical race theory.
