Self-shooting PD, DV director and AP Based in London & Bristol - Available to work throughout UK & overseas. Experienced DV director and PD/AP with 7 years experience. I am passionately driven to create engaging content that tell stories in new ways. I am never short of ideas and I have taken projects from pitch through to the edit. I am adept at working with talent and contributors and appreciate the importance of building rapport alongside the logistics of a shoot. My most recent contracts were completed for 7digital working as a shooting PD and editor. Over the course of 6 months I worked with their in-house team and freelancers to set up numerous shoot. Completing several BBC shorts (viewable via the iPlayer). Over the past 3 years I believe I have grown and learnt a great deal, developing my technical knowledge, shooting ability and visual understanding. I have experience of Edit Producing VT's (Vintage TV) which followed a set presenter-lead chat show formula. I have broadcast and corporate experience I understand the differing time requirements of both and am accustomed to working to tight deadlines to deliver.I always go the extra mile to make films that people can be proud of – from execs to contributors. When I tell stories it’s not only about getting the job done - my aim is to make a difference, and to make audiences lean forward in their seats and create a response that will stay with them. I believe in treating all stages of film production with the same respect and professionalism so that the team involved in making the it can be proud of and I work closely with everyone involved to ensure this can happen. I make films that require different stylistic choices. Having worked in a variety of roles I have honed both my skill set but also the ability to understand what is necessary in each role. LIST OF KEYS SKILLS • Worked in genres such as Factual entertainment, Observational Documentary and creating promotional material. • Worked for BBC, 7digital, Sony, Medecins Sans Frontieres, Transferwise, DEC (disasters and emergency committee). • Experienced Self-shooter for broadcast or web using the following cameras FS7, FS5, PXW500, C300 & A7S (with atamos) • Experience of working with other cam-ops, lighting and undertaking interview • Experience of editing and edit producing sync pull and rough cut sequences in premiere, final cut and resolve. • proficiencient at recording sound on Obs docs/ run and gun . • Overseas filming in Europe and Africa. • Complete knowledge of clearing copyright and archive sourcing. (BBC and Indies).
