I am a multi-media journalist with experience of over a decade in television and digital (video and audio) news mediums. From weathering tough terrain for crisis reportage to getting voices that matter and being one of the few journalists to cover the biggest international story in early 2019 (the Sri Lanka terror attack) — I go wherever the story takes me. I was one of the few journalists in South Asia to have received a fellowship with MSF (Reporters Without Borders) in 2023 to cover the health impact of sexual and gender-based violence. I am passionate about everything that comes with the process of unraveling real issues, especially ones with gender narratives. Combined with my ability to write, edit, and shoot, I have an all-round approach to my work as a multi-media journalist.

I produced this documentary titled 'Surviving Sexual Assault In India as an MSF Media Fellow 2022-23. The documentary focused on sexual assault survivors and the lack of access to healthcare in India. The story also detailed the mental and physical trauma the survivors had to endure and tried to explain why sexual assault is a public health crisis in India.

How Are Farmers Surviving On The Streets?
Thousands of farmers began protesting against the centre’s farm laws at the borders of Delhi in 2020. They had planned to live off the streets for months beating the cold, winter chill, refusing to budge. But the question really was how did they come together to support each other? Where did the rations come from, who was funding it? Did the farmers understand the laws they were protesting or had they been misled? This story was an attempt to show the audience at home, why the farmers were conducting the protest, who was funding it and where the food and ration was coming from. I worked on this story as a full-time employee at Beatroot News by Faye D'Souza.

Hijab ban: Why did the controversy begin?
In the beginning of 2022, protests erupted in Karnataka after an educational institution barred students from wearing the hijab within the institution. The Karnataka government in February 2022 issued an order stating that uniforms must be worn compulsorily where policies exist and no exceptions can be made for the wearing of the hijab. A month later, Karnataka HC upheld the state’s notice. The issue of whether students could wear hijab within institutions, however, became a polarised issue. Several political parties took their own stand for and against the matter with students in between. The question really was what led the students to protest? Why did the institutions restrict young women from entering classrooms? How did it become so political? I travelled to Udupi and Mangaluru to understand why the controversy began. I produced this documentary when I was a full-time employee at Beatroot News by Faye D'Souza.
