Showcasing the great work such as this is always a challenge, especially when you want to make sure that everyone gets to know the cool stuff your clients do. In this case, it was all about striking the right balance between informative and entertaining, and keeping in mind that both angles needed to be geared towards social media. Both me and the people over at MILE 80 were very happy with the end videos, and so too were the almighty algorithms!
Creating buzz and excitement in a video is all about hitting all the right editing moments. But how do you choose which moments are right? Well, I looked at the movements of the robot and the motion of the cameras, found the right way to align the footage, got into the flow of the edit and took its visual coherence as far as it would go. The client loved it and thought everything fit together perfectly. I'm really proud of this video and how it gave a ton of personality to an industrial robot.
After the pandemic, Amazon wanted to go all out on it's newfronts presentation, which meant a lot of video content. This was a very fun project with lots of awesome footage I could play around with. The song I worked with is still one of my favorites. The final Sports Sizzle was a real hit during the actual presentation and was praised by a lot of people I didn't expect.
