Hi there! My name is Aaron Butwinick and I’m a DP based in the Denver-Colorado Springs metro area. I specialize in music videos, corporate content, and narrative short films. I’ve shot on a variety of cameras, such as ARRIs, REDs, Blackmagics, Sonys, and Canons, and used a myriad of different lenses and equipment. With an eye for natural lighting and framing a story-driven image, I look forward to bringing your vision to life.

This was a fun spot to shoot because it not only highlighted Flatiron, but highlighted a personal story from one of their employees. We shot with natural light, on location, at the Denver Airport.

“The Bird of Paradise” is a Student Heartland EMMY Award-Winning short film about a lost girl’s search for self-acceptance.
“Only ‘Cause I Wanted To” was a music video I shot for local Denver band, Bleak Mystique. We wanted to go for a natural, almost nostalgic look, and chose to shoot on location at varying restaurants and bars downtown. The filmic look for the video was critical, as we wanted there to be a youthful, vintage look/feel. Enjoy!
