David Liz is an award winning Latino filmmaker based out of Miami,FL. He's been working as a Director, Cinematographer, Editor, and Producer since 2010. His films and videos have screened in film festivals all around the world including: The Director's Guild of America in NYC, Raindance Film Festival, Monaco International Film Festival, Miami International Film Festival , New York International Film Festival , and many others. In the past few years, David Liz has become one of Miami's most active Filmmakers, having worked on dozens of short films and video projects for numerous high profile clients including Telemundo, Redbull, and NBC universal. David’s feature Directorial debut comes in the form of The Welder, a socially conscious horror film being distributed by Terror Films in February of 2023.

This is our 2nd time filming with David and it is always a wonderful experience! He was on time, a great communicator and delivered on all aspects of the project. David went above and beyond - taking direction from the team perfectly and he even came up with additional ideas that would work great for our story! Everything he delivered was well shot and files were delivered on time and organized! We would use him for all our future work in Miami. Highly recommend!

Everything looks and sounds good to me but we just received the footage and are still reviewing. There were a handful of drone shots that seemed overexposed but the vast majority looked good. Overall good variety of broll and nice selection of drone shots. He was a PLEASURE to work with so once we finish reviewing everything I'll bet it will be great. Professional! We hope to work together again.

David was a perfect fit for my Miami film. A dedicated cinematographer who enjoyed working solo in our documentary fashion, David was flexible and understanding. He's a perfectionist when it came to getting the perfect shot and took on board the journalistic nature of the brief - thinking on how best to visualise our editorial story. Easy going and fun to work with was the cherry on the cake.

LUZ is a "flash before your eyes" kind of story, depicting the incredibly beautiful bond between a long passed Mother and her still living son. This film explores the mind, and delves into the brain's ability to forget in order to protect, and later remember for the same reason. LUZ is a journey through the universal experience enunciated by many as 'I saw my life flashing before my eyes", just as they were in the middle of a near death experience. Through this incredible survival tool the mind possesses, our most beloved and important memories are reveal in order to teach us something or remind us of those who love us still.
