Happs is a digital startup created by a team of accomplished innovators from journalism, technology, documentary film, news, and international media.   Award-winning journalist Laura Ling, former head of the Vanguard investigative team at Current TV, is our Head of Original Content. David Neuman, former Chief Programming Officer of CNN and President of Programming for Current TV and Channel One, is our Chief Creative Officer.  Mark Goldman, founding president of Sky Latin America, and former Chief Operating Officer of Current TV, is our CEO.  Together and separately, we’ve helped launch the careers of journalists including: Anderson Cooper, Lisa Ling, Mariana van Zeller, Christof Putzel, Adam Yamaguchi, Kaj Larsen, Gotham Chopra, Serena Altschul, Conor Knighton, Tracy Smith, Jason Silva, and others. 

Now we’re creating a network dedicated to live streaming the most fascinating, important, interesting “happenings” going on in our world. DuPont-Columbia University Award for Excellence in Broadcast Journalism for his contribution with interviews for PBS Frontline documentary “Rape in the Fields” and the Spanish version for Univision “Aquí y Ahora” documentary “Violación de un Sueño”
