About
Nicholas Ibekwe has a Bachelor's degree in English Language from Lagos State University and a Master's degree in International journalism from United Kingdom's most prestigious journalism school, City University London. His journalism career kicked of six years ago at defunct NEXT newspapers. he is now a Senior Reporter with Nigeria's leading online newspaper, Premium Times (www.premiumtimesng.com). Nicholas has won series of awards which include a honorary commendation from the CNN/African Journalist of the Year Award (2010), Winner of the online Category of Wole Soyinka Award for Investigative Reporting (2009), two times finalist in the Forum for African Investigative Award (2010 and 2011). He is a Chevening alumnus. Nicholas has written and produced audio pieces for the Voice of America (VOA), Radio Netherlands Worldwide (RNW), The NewAfrican Magazine, BBC Panorama (undercover assignment). he has also worked with several foreign reporters as a local fixer and guide.
