Ali Fowle is a journalist and documentary filmmaker specialising in Burmese and South-East Asian affairs. Originally from Edinburgh, Ali graduated from City University, London, with a Masters in Television and Current Affairs Journalism in 2009. She has lived and worked in the Southeast Asia since mid 2009, working full time for the highly-respected exiled Burmese media organisation, the Democratic Voice of Burma (DVB) in their English language TV section and producing documentaries syndicated to major news channels such as Al-Jazeera and SBS. Currently based in Yangon, Ali now works non-exclusively for several international media outlets including Al Jazeera, the BBC and CNA. As a dedicated video journalist with a wealth of experience, she accepts work from research, reporting, filming and editing through to fully independent productions.
