About
Antonia Rossi Charnes was born in Rome, Italy in 1978 where she lives until 1988 when she returns to Chile together with her family. In 1996 she enters Arcis University to study Cinematography and finishes in the year 2000. In 2001 she enters Post graduate studies in Visual Arts at the University of Chile. She has worked as film director and film editor since 1999, realizing three fiction CORTOS (Vuelta a Casa; Mediatarde; and Autostop) and two documentaries (La pampa and Ensayo) In 2002 she joins the art collective, http://www.o-inc.cl/ She has also given classes of aesthetics, film analysis, cinematographic language, and realization workshops at Arcis University, Santiago University and the Cultural Center 1215 (Valparaiso). In 2006-07-08 she earns a scholarship of the Audiovisual Fund (fondart) of the State for doing her last documentary “The echo of songs” http://www.elecodelascanciones.cl/
