I am a director, DOP and producer with a wealth of experience across global advertising campaigns, TV and documentaries. My shooting and lighting skills are exceptional and I thrive on capturing beautifully-lit interviews and cinematic b-roll. I happily oversee all aspects of production – from creating an idea and presenting it in a pitch-winning treatment – to casting, budgeting and scheduling, managing a wider team – or shooting the project independently. As a former journalist, I have a good nose for a story and have developed original documentary ideas from scratch. Crafting a great story is essential, so I always keep a tight grasp on editorial and an eye on emerging stories to gain accurate insight into contributors’ emotions. I have negotiated difficult access, worked in hostile environments, and directed some of the world’s most famous A-List stars. Results-driven, communication is always my number one priority to ensure that every project exceeds my clients' expectations.
Working with the creative director, I produced, project managed, directed and shot this week-long shoot in southern Spain. This involved script editing, booking locations, equipment and camera crew, liaising and directing celebrity talent Sue Barker, lighting, audio, camera operating, wrangling data, and overseeing post production.
I produced and co-directed this documentary about a speedway racer. This involved scripting, budgeting, casting, booking locations, crew (DOP, Steadicam op, composer) and production equipment, as well as overseeing the post-production process and distribution to platforms.
Working with a fashion photographer, I produced, directed and shot this campaign for Limone Swim in Mallorca. Choosing locations, booking equipment, and directing key sequences, I also oversaw the entire post production process for 30 short adverts for use in China and worldwide.
Developed with the LGBT+ community and based on the insight that people have used Starbucks to try out their chosen names, I directed four moving portraits with Iris Worldwide as part of the award-winning Every Name’s A Story campaign, which was praised by consumers and press for its authenticity, sensitive direction, and the respectful handling of the subject matter – and won the Channel 4 Diversity in Advertising award.
