About
Spanish journalist. I arrived in Mexico in 2011, since then I've been working in documentary photography and photojournalism focused on migration, human rights and indigenous people. I also wrote about society, politics and environmental issues. Some of my work was published at eldiario.es (Spain), Newsweek, Losangelespress and Al-Jazeera English. Opensociety Foundations published my photos based on indigenous poppy farmers in the mountains of southern Mexico.

Alianza de Jornaleros de San Quintín: el nacimiento de un sindicato
I documented the strike that started on 17th march with thousand of indigenous farm-workers in San Quintín, Baja California. Two months after, police broken the locks on the road by day-laborers with rubber bullets and armored cars, but the manifestants answered burning a police office and some cops vehicles.

Mexican government and local media in Tijuana usually compares deportees with causes of insegurity, drugs on the streets and violence. In consecuence, police in the city detains people homeless and all migrants who walk or live there without legal documents
