I'm a freelance photographer and videographer based in Fort Collins, CO. I was a newspaper staff photographer for 7 years after earning an M.A. in Journalism, emphasis photojournalism, from the University of Missouri. My work has been recognized by numerous organizations including Gannett (Photographer of the Year, 2012), the National Press Photographers Association, and the Missouri Press Association.
Lesher Middle School Principal Tom Dodd describes the attitudes he tries to instill in his students. Dodd recently won the national Principal of the Year award for his innovative work at the diverse school. I made this as a staff photographer for the Coloradoan newspaper. It was part of a USA Today Network project.
I shot stills and video for this piece for the Coloradoan when I was on staff there.
Girls learn to rock at Queen City Rock Camp. I shot this as a staffer at the Springfield News-Leader.
Columbine Health Systems hired me to shoot and edit a series of 5 videos at different facilities and a final video combining scenes from the individual videos. They use them on their website, in CNA classes, and at recruitment fairs.
