I’m Andy Kelemen, a branded content + commercial director with a specialty in making unusual work. I describe my style as playful and approachable, and I love over-the-top visuals with bold looks. I got my start filming behind the scenes content for Troma Entertainment with Lloyd Kaufman, after which I spent five years at one of the largest political ad agencies in the country, producing and directing national campaigns. I then went full-time as a director, starting a production company in the process. My work has been aired nationally, created millions of social media impressions, and I’ve picked up seven Emmy awards along the way for my documentary work for PBS. In directing content, I’m proud of the work I create, and my ability push the envelope (and push clients) when needed. While it’s tough to brag about personality traits, I’m consistently described as being easy to work with, and a fantastic collaborator. And let’s be honest, when you work on a commercial project - you spend a ton of time together.
We used real teachers, who know the importance of teaching sustainability, to talk about why they use Grove's all organic cleaning products. We had a blast working with real teachers, and getting a glimpse into every day life outside of the classroom.
As part of Bank of America's 'power to' campaign, I directed this docu-style spot featuring Dr. Julia Harper and the great work she does with her center, Therapeeds. Bank of America, in targeting female business owners, set out to create content which focuses on women helping women. The piece was used across their social media channels and included cutdowns and gifs for Instagram.
To position Tile as the premiere gift during the holiday season, we created this ad as part of their campaign 'Who Do You Love Who Could Use Some Tile Magic?' The piece was used across their Instagram, IGTV, Facebook, and Youtube preroll.
The Almond Board of California commissioned a series of social media spots, IG pieces, gifs, and hundreds of stills to show how social media influencers own their every day. We traveled to Philadelphia to show how US Soccer star Julie Ertz lives her life to the fullest.
