Southerly is a small team of scrappy filmmakers based in Austin, TX. We thrive in working creatively alongside clients from concept to screen.
The EverChew Kickstarter video was entrusted to Southerly Film Co from concept to screen. Working closely alongside the product creator, we ensured the vision was executed to exceed everything the client wanted and more. We thrive in the creative process of bringing concepts to life on the screen.
We began our relationship with Legacy Leather Books over coffee to hear their story and what they wanted to accomplish. We pitched ideas to start the creative process and quickly landed on the final concept for the film. It was important to keep it short and watchable for ads on social media, but that didn't mean we cut corners. We gave 100% to ensure our film was perfect for their goals.
Southerly has had a long creative relationship with A and F Drum Co. ranging from product photography to a spread for Interiors magazine. For this project we were approached to finish out a series of films highlighting a partnership between A and F and Sabian. A and F is dedicated to craft, and craft takes time and attention to detail. We couldn't be more honored that a company with those standards invited us to bring their new Ankh snare to the masses.
Rev1211 is a non-profit based in Austin, Texas whose focus is creating community for artists. Southerly Film Co had previously partnered with Rev1211 to create video content and a documentaries for several live events with Salvation Army, so we jumped at the opportunity to capture testimonials from artists who were part of the Rev1211 community.
Light from Light commissioned Southerly Film Co to produce a short, artistic film that communicated the complex nature of their organization as a mediary between donors and the help their funds provide in Haiti. We worked closely with LFL to create a story of hope and healing without falling into the trap of just showing sadness and great need. We are proud of their efforts and our contribution.
