Balancing between reality and fiction, 'What a Circus!' is an intimate documentary about Recirquel, a contemporary circus company based in Budapest, Hungary. The film's crew followed the company for years, including during their latest show's rehearsals. Between the sweats and tears, we see the performers' dreams and fears come to life in spectacular scenes of stunts made in suburban settings.
In Rupa's Boutique there are dreams on the hangers. Dreams that meant hope for the victims of acid attacks even in the worst times. All the girls: Rupa, Soniya, Gita, Neetu, Dolly and Laxmi are back on their feet after their tragedy. They all found a way back to society, became independent and visible.
László Balogh aka Clown Lala is a clown doctor who made a hundred thousand of sick people smile in the past one and a half decade. The entertaining and simultaneously touching creative documentary let us get to know Dr. Lala, the man of sarcastic humor, his fight for the maintenance of his foundation, and stories of numerous sick children, little everyday heroes through his vocation.
