I'm an award winning filmmaker and photographer. Commercial projects and documenting important and untold conservation stories and has taken me across 6 continents and dozens of countries. I've contributed photos and video to National Geographic, accepted awards at the United Nations, and worked with companies such as Jeep, PBS Nature, and the Chris Burkard Studio. I enjoy using storytelling skills gained from my English degree at Boston University, in conjunction with his passion for media to create media that serves commercial clients, brings awareness to conservation issues and that enacts measurable change. My most recent project, concerning noise pollution issues with Humpback Whales in Iceland, recently won its category in the short films section for the prestigious United Nations World Wildlife Day and Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival, has won awards in film festivals worldwide, and is being used as a tool for policy advancement by the United Nations. The Big Andrew Foundation is a non-profit watermen's collective and community empowerment network dedicated to inspiring individuals to lead a purposeful, healthy and active lifestyle through their relationship with the ocean and contributing waterways. Michael was honored to film and edit a promotional video for their annual surf and classic car competition in York, Maine to raise money for families struggling with cancer.

A Voice Above Nature
Serving as Director of Photography, and contributing largely to the story and editing process, Michael traveled to Iceland to partner with producer Annie Moir to create the project a Voice Above Nature. Detailing the plight of Noise Pollution on cetaceans, the film won the short film category for World Wildlife Day at the United Nations, was an Audience Winner for the Sunday Shorts Film Festival, and won its category at The Jackson Hole Wildlife Film festival. Further, the film will be used as a tool for policy advancement by the United Nations in their Sustainable Development Goals for ocean conservation.
