Jordan Bryon is a story activist specializing in documentary films and docu-series. Jordan has freelanced for Netflix, Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, BBC, Channel 4, Al Jazeera, Washington Post, and many international production companies. Jordan’s 20+ films and storytelling projects have been seen on TVs and in cinemas and festivals around the world including Afghanistan, Jordan, Palestine, Uganda, India, Japan, Ecuador, Peru and Australia. Jordan’s documentary film, Birds of the Borderlands (Jordan, 2017), screened at 15 international film festivals. An award-winning filmmaker, Vincent Du has produced more than twenty documentaries for international broadcasters and organizations including Al Jazeera, BBC, NHK, Channel NewsAsia, World Health Organization, Tencent, iQiyi, and China Central Television. His recent works include “A Day in Wuhan,” which won in the category General Documentary at The Telly Awards 2021, and aired on Al Jazeera Arabic. His feature length documentary “Smog Town” (NFF+IBF scheme, IDFA Bertha Fund), premiered in 2019 as part of the First Appearance Competition during the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA), the world’s largest documentary film festival. It won best documentary awards at both the Millenium Documentary Film Festival in Belgium and DokuFest in Kosovo. His investigative documentary, “Smuggling for Survival,” aired on Channel NewsAsia and Al Jazeera English and won Best Current Affairs Programme or Series at the Asian Academy Creative Awards in 2019. Also in 2019, his short film “Fighting Against Air Pollution” won Best Short Documentary at the China Academy Awards for Documentary Films, the country’s top awards for the genre. Vincent Du is the founder of DuGood Productions. Between 2010 and 2012, he was awarded two distinguished scholarships, including a British government Chevening Scholarship, to complete two Master’s degrees, the first in journalism at the University of Hong Kong, and the second in screen documentary at Goldsmiths, University of London. Before entering the documentary filmmaking industry, Vincent worked as a photojournalist for local newspapers and Reuters for 7 years. He now teaches documentary production and film history at the Journalism School of China’s Tianjin Normal University. He is also a PhD candidate in Film Studies at Centre for Research and Education in Art and Media of the University of Westminster.

Please find below a short profile of mine, I am currently lecturing Peace and Conflict Resolution and Conflict Transformation at the postgraduate level at Kardan University in Kabul. I have already taught Geopolitics at the same university last semester as well. I will be teaching Transitional Justice at the American University starting July. I'm a scholar of Peace and Negotiations with a postgraduate degree in International Relations from the University of New South Wales, Australia. My thesis was titled “A Study of the Ideational and Structural Factors Hindering Negotiations with the Taliban”. I graduated with a distinction grade and was nominated for my universities Deans Excellence Award for the year as well. I am an Indian journalist currently working in Kabul, Afghanistan, focusing on news stories from the Af-Pak region. But since come from a background in development—I have a postgraduate diploma in human rights and have a few years working with NGOs—I rather enjoy telling stories of struggles and resilience, more than I like breaking news. My name is Shershah Nawabi, I have got Bachelor of Journalism from Kabul University were it granted me a chance to enhance my education, skills and communication in a more stable and sustainable way. My education has also given me a chance to ensure wide knowledge of community based issue and scientific method to spread them using my experience and studies. My professional career journey started from 2009 where we had to be active in writing, reporting, designing, video-graphy and mobile journalism in New Voice Weekly. It ensured to be effective in my interpersonal skills as well. After New Voice Weekly, I joined Journalism Scientific Magazine to enhance my abilities in journalism. While having a mid-career qualification, I joined Khurshid Global Television Network to optimize my strength and education in a global channel. I started as a Military News Reporter and got promotion to Military News Producer, Senior News Reporter and Deputy Manager respectively. After that i got promotion to be News Manager of Khurshid Global Television Network. After working for more than 9 years I started my own News Agency; Pasbanan Media Group (PMG). Its currently one of the most viewed website of Afghanistan. While having a very good journey of at least 2 years, PMG has strives successfully to engage with awareness and communication. Currently PMG is founded and been supervised by me. Meanwhile i was appointed as Media adviser of Afghanistan Information and Technology Minister since July 2019. On the previous posts I have been always receiving excellent feedback from my employers, which proves my strong commitment towards performing my responsibilities in professional and effective manner. Running my own News Agency has permitted me to have my employee’s feedbacks as well which are fortunately positive. I’ve always preferred to work with team and fortunately able to work autonomously. Furthermore, individually I have gained some essential skills like coordination, communication, accuracy, leadership and risk management which have helped me throughout my career. Beside the professional career tasks, I have ensured to have extracurricular and volunteer activity as well; arranging several Debate, Research, Civic Activism and leadership trainings has been a part of it, in which I have developed team spirit, risk taking and stress management individually.
