A.J. Olstad’s passion for sound began with his love for films. He often wondered how the sounds were made and wanted to recreate them. His curiosity drove him to enroll at Columbia College Chicago, where he worked as a sound designer for various films -- including several that won in the Chicago International Film Festival and other independent festivals. He also worked on numerous projects as a location sound recorder. His talents took him to Sri Lanka, Miami, and Wyoming, where he was exposed to incredible learning experiences in sound. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Audio for Visual Arts in 2015, A.J. landed an internship at NoiseFloor Ltd., where he quickly became acclimated to the professional clientele and workflow. His dedication and passion for the business earned him a promotion as a Sound Editor, which put him on larger scale projects like web & TV spots for OtterBox, Honda, and Special Olympics, the short TV show The Jamz, and the video game Injustice 2. His location audio career has also grown as he’s worked on projects such as Restore Hair Restoration with Brian Urlacher, Family Travels with Colleen Kelly and the United States Marine drum and bugle corps. He’s even had the opportunity to record Wayne Brady for a SEG TV & Radio spot. Patricia Nabong is a visual journalist who is dedicated to breaking stereotypes, covering untold stories and serving communities through visual journalism. She is currently a photojournalism fellow at City Bureau, a civic journalism lab in Chicago. In the past, she worked as a fellow at The Medill Justice Project, where she produced an interactive visual investigation of Washington D.C.’s vacant properties, which was a finalist for the 2017 Peter Lisagor Award. She was also a student fellow at the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting, which funded her short documentary and photo essay about the psychological toll of the drug war in the Philippines. Her photos, articles and videos have appeared in the American Documentary Film Festival, The Weather Channel, Seeker, Chicago Magazine, Chicago Reader, Chicago Defender, WBEZ Chicago, City Bureau, Narratively, The A.V. Club, The Riveter, Climbing Magazine, Balitang America and Medill Reports, to name a few. She is one of the 2018 nominees for the World Press Photo Foundation's Joop Swart Masterclass. She earned her master's degree in journalism at Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism where she received the Harrington Award for Videography/Broadcast. She also won a Chicago College Emmy for a video she produced there.  Prior to starting her graduate studies at Medill, she worked as a freelance multimedia journalist for online news sites Rappler, Union of Catholic Asian News and ABS-CBN News and as a part-time photography teacher at St. Paul College, Pasig. She graduated summa cum laude as the batch valedictorian of the class of 2015, with a degree in Film from the College of Mass Communication of the University of the Philippines. She is a member of Kappa Tau Alpha, the national journalism honor society; the Photojournalists’ Center of the Philippines; and the Tokwa Collective.

When Parry Metz was a pre-med student at the University of Michigan, he had visions of improving lives and having a profound and lasting effect upon humanity. So he did the only sensible thing: he changed his major to advertising. For 15 years, Parry was a creative director and copywriter at DDB Chicago, where he has worked on Safeway, JCPenney, McDonald’s, The Field Museum, the Afterschool Alliance/Ad Council, the American Cancer Society, and many other accounts. Most recently, he was creative lead on a multi-million dollar Jewel-Osco campaign and also led social media content creation for GNC, Citibank and Applegate Natural Meats. Parry takes pride in finding creative solutions to every assignment that comes his way, no matter how small. Fábio Erdos is a Brazilian documentary filmmaker and photographer member of Panos Pictures, one of the world's leading independent and award-winning photographic agencies. In 2019, Fábio won a World Press Photo award for the film "Marielle and Monica", produced for The Guardian, and in 2021 he was invited to serve as a jury member for the World Press Photo Digital Storytelling Contest. His films have been shown at several festivals, like GLAAD (New York), One World Media (UK), La Gacilly Photo Festival (France), the Museum of Tomorrow, the Museum of Modern Art (Rio de Janeiro), and he was shortlisted for the IDA Documentary Awards. ​ Previous to his film and photography career, Fábio worked for the international non-profit ActionAid for many years, where he gained experience in grassroots work on poverty and social inequality. During this time he worked in rural communities in Northeast Brazil, a region that suffers from one of the worst droughts in the last 50 years, in Haiti, a year after the devastating earthquake of 2010, and in the rural communities of Mozambique. These experiences inspired him to pursue filmmaking and photography as a way to convey contemporary socio-environmental issues.​ ​ Fábio focuses on documenting stories through a personal and intimate narrative, aiming to bring awareness and, most importantly, impact on social and environmental issues.

Nicholas Price is a graduate of Columbia College Chicago, receiving a B.A. in Audio and Acoustic Arts with a concentration in Audio for Visual Media. It was his time at Columbia that Nicholas soon realized his passion for the creative side of audio and the power it holds when combined with visual elements to evoke a myriad of emotions. Nicholas worked as an Intern for the Chicago Recording Company (CRC), assisting senior engineer, Michael Coyle and his assistant, Nealle Di Paolo. His most notable internship was for the Wachowskis, Kinowerks Studio, and Dane Davis, Danetracks, Inc on the Netflix series Sense8. Working and assisting Dane Davis (Post-Sound Supervisor), Stephanie Flack (ADR Supervisor), and Matt Kielkopf (First Assistant Editor). An unforgettable experience that provided a brief glimmer of working within the industry at the highest level. Nicholas has since gained significant experience working on commercial, documentary, short film and indie film projects in both production and post-production capacities, amassing a unique body of growing sound projects here in Chicago.

Cory Coken began his career in the industry by building an extensive and impressive list of credits. Having worked on feature films like Batman Forever, Apollo 13, and Hoop Dreams (just to name a few), Coken developed a versatile background in sound. He eventually transitioned into advertising where he has created, recorded, and designed audio for a number of television and radio commercials. Working with clients like Disney, Coca-Cola and Army. In 2000, he built and created a new state of the art facility providing clients with the best studios for postproduction sound. Coken also teaches at his alma mater, Columbia College, where he instructs students on the theory and technical means behind audio for the visual medium. He is always actively involved in numerous freelance projects including live recording for Drum Corps International and tackling the sound design/mixing for independent films. Ken is a multi-instrumentalist musician and composer. His obsession with sound, recording, and creating moving and affecting aural environments began at a very young age and has been a constant driving force throughout his life. He is passionate about manipulating sound and music, linking people to their memories, allowing listeners to paint the canopies of their inner experiences with new and exciting images. He works relentlessly to understand how and why sound and music are so integral to the human experience. He has composed scores for over 20 theatrical productions and since 2010 has created scores for feature films, short films, and advertisements, as well as produced music for hip-hop, pop and soul artists. I'm Fran, 28, Philosophy Major and Film MFA, with an interest in story telling, be it still images or 24fps. I've been doing principal cinematography for several projects in the west area of Puerto Rico, Chicago, and New York. Received a couple of National Awards for Best Cinematography in a short film, and recently curated my first photographic series titled 'Darklight'. Lately I've been focusing more on directing, since I wanna employ my cinematographic skills in telling my own stories.
