Independent multi-media journalist and writer specialized in covering conflicts throughout MENA region. Between Cairo and Istanbul. I develop my journalistic career in Press, TV and radio contributing to mainstream and alternative media like Al Jazeera (AJ+), France 24, CNN, Foreign Policy, El País, DW, RFI, RCN Noticias, SER, VOA, A3, Cuatro, La Sexta, M'Sur...). I've worked as a staff member at the Spanish newspaper EL PAÍS where I participated in several investigative coverages. I'm the editor for M’Sur online magazine on political Mediterranean issues, coordinating a team of 20 correspondents in over 10 countries. I'm the co-author, with the photographer Miguel Ángel Sánchez, of El Alma del Mundo, (Lunwerg, 2012). This photographic and literary work has been exhibited in Cairo, Paris, Brussels, Dubai, Madrid... I am also a lecturer and speaker for different institutions specialized in Egypt, Arab, and gender issues.

Roger Anis is an Egyptian Documentary photographer, Photo editor & Curator. He received his bachelor in fine arts in 2008 from Egypt and started his career as a photojournalist in 2010, working with different newspapers and international news agencies. His work got published in various international newspapers and news agencies like AP, AFP, Getty Images, New York Times, TIME, Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, Le Monde, De Grona Amsterdam, The Guardian and many others next to my work with International Organizations like UNICEF, UNDP. UNFPA, UNWoman, IFAD, IMF. His work got exhibited in Egypt and internationally in the Institue Du Monde Arabe in Paris, The Hermitage Museum in Russia, the MUCEM museum in Marseille, Heads on Photo Festival in Australia, Bamako Biennale in Mali and many other venues worldwide in Turkey, USA, Singapore, India, The Netherlands. In 2015 he received a degree in photojournalism from the Danish School of Media & Journalism in Denmark. Roger’s work and photo stories focus on trying to shed light on important subjects and social issues in our communities. He works on hidden or underreported levels and on essential topics we don’t see or forget about. Currently, Roger is doing his master’s at the Royal Academy of Arts in the Netherlands, focusing on water and rivers. Next to be the Artistic Director and Co-founder of EverydayNile Initiative, which empowers visual storytellers from the Nile basin countries to tell visual stories about the Nile and water in their countries. In his practice, he tries to experiment and expand to include different visual mediums that he can combine with his photography next to filmmaking.

I'm an aspiring 22 year old independent film-maker who studies media-design in the faculty of applied arts in the GUC. I started my career when I was 14 as a freelance Illustrator and Digital Painter, then I got more absorbed in other forms of art such as 2D animation. I co-directed and co-produced my first animated short in 2012 as a part of a competition in an online program hosted by the Ghetto film school, and it was a great success. then in 2013 I enrolled in the GUC faculty of applied arts to continue my education in the same field that I'm most passionate about. now I'm in my bacheolar year, after 3 years in which I wrote, directed, edited, animated, art directed & color-graded a number of student/independent film-making projects. My last finished work was a visual effects project for a sci/fi drama. recently I'm working on the post production of a short sci/fi comedy directed by me & an experimental music video..
