I am a widely-published print journalist covering Latin America and looking to expand my video repertoire. My writing on subjects as varied as hard news, cuisine, travel and sport, has been published in Vice, the Washington Post, the Independent, Foreign Policy, the Guardian and, in Spanish, El Pais, among many others. I have also produced and reported three online videos, all with GlobalPost, which you can see lower down. In each case, I proposed the idea, researched it and wrote the script, while working closely with a cameraman, who also did the post-production. I have been based in Latin America for more than a decade and am fully bilingual in English and Spanish. I have a long track record of breaking original print features, and would welcome the chance to do something similar with video or TV.

Guillermo has spent the 15 years making documentaries for a wide portfolio of clients including Discovery Channel, Channel 4, BBC, National Geographic and others. In the diverse roles as Director of Photography, Director and producer, Guillermo has brought key issues in the region to the screen such as immigration, elections, AIDS, terrorism, environmental damage, threats to indigenous people, drugs, war and other important issues told through human stories. Marco Garro (Perú) bachelor in Communications at the University of Lima. He focuses on environmental and social issues. Garro completed a master’s degree program, Mal de Foco, in Lima’s Centro de la Imagen. He has received two scholarships from Fundación Nuevo Periodismo Iberoamericano to participate in workshops and Latin-American meeting of journalist. He received The Photography Residencies “Musée du Quai Branly - Jacques Chirac”, and he was first Place in "the Photography Salon" by the Peruvian-North American Cultural Institute in Lima (Peru). Garro was also received in two year, 2016 and 2018, the first place in the press organization IPYS, Peru, as the best photography. Garro has had a solo exhibition in the Museum of Contemporary Art in Perú, and been part of several group exhibition in festivals and museums exhibitions such Brazil, Spain, Guatemala, the United Kingdom, and the United States. During his career, he has worked in locals newspapers in Peru and he was a media Correspondent of Deutsche Presse Agentur . His work has been published in New York Times, The Wall street Journal, The Guardian, Financial Times, Internazionale, Het Financieele Dagblad, Svenska Dagbladet, among others. He joined Supayfotos, a Peruvian collective focused on photo documentalism that has exhibited in Peru and abroad. He represents the Collective in the International photojournalism festival Visa Pour L´image for 4 years straight.

Born in Lima, 1976 I work as a documentary filmmaker and in the advertising business since 2007. I have made several documentaries for the U.N. and private companies. In 2011 I did a personal project called FUGA, which is a series of mini documentaries about ordinary people with extraordinary journies, driven by the hearts to find their own path.
