I first discovered my passion for photography at a young age traveling with my father, a life long commercial photographer, to unique locations around the world and then helping develop the film back in his studio. I've transitioned to video production to tell more compelling stories, having started Après Visuals over 10 years ago. Since then, my company has produced a wide range of projects, including documentaries, feature films, and ambitious commercial projects. I believe you need to truly relate to your subject matter in order to capture it in the most authentic way. A production requires extensive planning, attention to detail, and the ability to work fluidly with both talent and client in a rapidly changing environment. When shooting a campaign I draw upon my own passion and experience in that environment to create genuine images that will evoke emotion in the most native audience. The best images that are technically correct but more than anything honest.

Erich Roepke is a professional director, cinematographer and mountaineer. Erich blends his filmmaking and expedition experience to create truly unique coverage. Roepke's filmmaking education began assisting National Geographic Photographers and filmmakers, Cristina Mittermeier and Paul Nicklen. After a few years filming and developing content strategy with their nonprofit, SeaLegacy, Erich set out for a career as a Freelance Cinematographer. Erich's career has brought him from Antarctica, to Mount Everest, to the North Pole. He later spent nearly two years as a Camera Operator for BBC Studios "Life Below Zero", featured on National Geographic Channel. The crew was awarded the Emmy for "Best Cinematography for a Reality TV Program" multiple times during his time there. Erich has shot several expedition short films from Roam’s “The Line” on Mt. Everest and “The Big One” on Denali. Roepke has also directed and produced several of his own films (Full Circle, Ring of Fire and Denali Dreams) which have been featured in Warren Miller films and on Outside TV. Most recently Erich was a partner alongside Keith Ladzinski and Tommy Joyce at Triage Creative, a full service digital media production firm, where he served as their Executive Director and Director of Photography. Erich's clients have included Canon Cameras, Outside TV, Warren Miller Entertainment, Adidas, Fossil Timepieces, BBC Studios, National Geographic... and many more. Erich is a certified Wilderness First Responder with more than a thousand days of expedition experience and has his Part 107 Drone License.
